HR Generalist at the Swedish Gambling Authority

Do you want a meaningful job at an authority that makes the gambling market safe and secure? Then you might want to become our new HR Generalist! We are an expert authority located in Strängnäs with a significant mission, and we want your help to make the Swedish Gambling Authority even better.

Background

Our current HR Generalist will be on parental leave, and therefore we are looking for a substitute for one year. You will be placed in the agency's operational support department, which currently consists of 15 employees working in four different functions: finance/procurement, HR, IT, and internal services (registration, archives, property issues, etc.). As an HR Generalist, you will be part of the HR function responsible for both operational and strategic HR issues within the Swedish Gambling Authority, such as recruitment, work environment, labor law, salary policy, etc. The group currently consists of two employees, an HR strategist and an HR generalist.

Your Responsibilities

As an HR Generalist, you will primarily work with operational HR tasks such as recruitment, administration of employment, answering contractual questions, rehabilitation, and implementing guidelines and policies. You will also work with other tasks within the function. During the summer months, you will handle administrative tasks across the department's operational areas and assist in the agency's registration.

Your Background and Skills

You have a recently completed relevant university degree, e.g., from a human resources program. You have a good ability to express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish and English.

The job requires you to be attentive, communicative, and have a coaching approach. You are social, flexible, and solution-oriented with a strong sense of responsibility. You are structured but can also be creative and open to new ideas. You have the ability to work independently but also enjoy and contribute to good collaboration with others.

Practical Information

The position is a temporary contract for 12 months. Before employment, a background check will be conducted according to the regulation (1999:1134) on criminal records.

The Swedish Gambling Authority has an important mission to ensure that the Swedish gambling market is legal, reliable, and safe. We monitor that the gambling companies we have licensed take responsibility for the players and the games they offer. We only grant licenses to gambling companies that meet the requirements, and we work to keep unlicensed gambling companies away from the Swedish gambling market.
